How we met pt 3…

As you all know I’ve been through a little journey to get to my husband, but it was about 5 months before I met him, and the Lord asked me what I was looking for in my husband so I started listing somethings, then God said are you sure? So I asked Him what He wanted for me in a husband and the qualities I should be looking for. He told me to go to His Word, and find out what type of a man He created, and what type of man I should be looking for according to His Word. He told me to put together a confession and confess it everyday until I saw manifestation. So I did that every day most of the time twice a day, and finally one Monday morning I woke up and said I’m going to meet my husband this week. I didn’t know where that came from, but I felt it deep inside, so I stood on that Word and went into the week in expectation. On Tuesday I went to work and my girlfriend looked at me and out of nowhere said, “Tracy, did you meet your husband?” I just smiled, and said “Not in the natural yet, why do you ask?” and she said “I just feel it, you’ve met your husband.” Inside I was praising the Lord it was just confirmation for me. On Wed night I went to church and after corporate prayer I turned around and saw this handsome young man, who I had noticed for about the last three weeks in church. I remember the first time I saw him he was sitting on the front row, and I thought he was really handsome, the second time I saw him he was sitting next to me, and I though wow he is really good looking, maybe this is the one (come on people you know you’ve thought it too! LOL!), but he didn’t say anything to me so I dismissed the thought. But that night he initiated conversation with me, and had me immediately captured, not only because he was good looking, but because I could tell that he was a true man of God, and he had a lot going for himself. He told me his name was Daryle, and that didn’t ring any bells until service started and I turned away from him, and God said to me, “Do you remember when I told you his name?” All of a sudden it came back like a flash, about 4 months before God had said to me “Your husband’s name is Daryle”, and I immediately dismissed the idea because I had thought it was my own thought instead of something God was giving me. I knew God could be specific, but I had never had something that specific before. So as I was sitting there in service butterfly’s started going on in my stomach and I was like “Oh wow this is really it, God if this is really him, you have to tell him to ask me for my number before we leave.” After service I took my time gathering my belongings and he said to me that he would like to get to talk to me some more and could he have my number so he could call me. I was like Yes! Yes! Yes inside, but you know I was very cool, and said “sure”.

From then on everything progressed very quickly. God immediately linked us together we would both hear from God concerning different things. So there was always confirmation between us, and after a month and a half of dating, God had spoken to me one Friday night and said, “I have joined you in the spirit, but it is time for you all to get married in the natural. It is time for you to have the total covering.” I said, “Ok Lord, but you have to tell him that, I’m not going to say that.” Then on Saturday he called me up and said, “The Lord told me something, and I’m not sure if it’s me or Him so I want to confirm with you. He said that we are supposed to get married.” I started laughing at this point because of the conversation I had had with God already. “I said I know honey, He told me that yesterday.” So Daryle said, “Ok Lord when are we supposed to get married.” Then he paused for a second and said “Ok Tracy what did you hear.” I said, “No, tell me what you heard.” We went back and forth for a few seconds not wanting to be the first one to speak, then finally at the same time we both said the word “Now!” and then we laughed. So on Monday we went to get our marriage license, and on Tuesday we got married. And the rest is history! Glory to God!

When God moves He moves!! Those things you’ve been waiting on for years can come instantly as it did with us. God is no respecter of persons, so if He did it for us, He can do it for you all too! Just remember it took patience, and obedience for it to come forth. From both of our stories you can see that we both had to listen for God and do exactly what He told us to do so that He could bring us together. One last thing remember each of our stories is different, God did it for us this way, but He might do it for you a different way so don’t lock yourself into looking for your blessing to come from one direction and God is brining it from another, be open, be prayerful, and be obedient. I pray many blessings on each of you that reads this, and may it encourage you all! God bless!!
