Seek ye first…

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

Most of us can quote this scripture, we’ve heard it time and time again. We know it in our head, but do we know it with our heart. What I mean by this is that I knew this scripture, and I was doing things for God, praying, fasting, ministering, going to school, etc. but it seemed like it started to become routine, and I felt like things weren’t moving in my life. It was very difficult because I love God and I desire to grow in God, but it was like I hit a wall. Just when I was in a place of frustration and confusion because of this, God came with a word…

I was in class, and a sister came in and taught on prayer, and she spoke on this scripture, and said. She had gotten a revelation, that it wasn’t just about being about God business in your activities, but in your prayer time you should be praying for the Kingdom first. She talked about how she use to pray for herself, and people she knew, but didn’t seriously sit down and ask God what He wanted her to pray concerning His Kingdom, she said once she started doing that, doors opened for her, she said blessings started rolling in, she said revelation started coming, God took her to a new level. When I heard this I knew this was the key for my life. I knew that is what I needed to break down the wall I had hit. I was like her, I prayed often, but not specifically seeking God for what was on His heart concerning the Kingdom. So that night I came home and I sought God, and the power that came through that prayer was nothing like I have ever experienced. I continued to do this, and let’s just say those walls came tumbling down! Since getting this revelation, and acting on it, I have grown in spirit, grown in faith, and grown in my closeness with God. The anointing, the power, and the gifts He’s placed inside of me have grown tremendously, He has taken me off of the world system, and now I reside in the Kingdom. He has given me the desires of my heart. I am able to do full time ministry and He brought my husband into my life, and I got married (that’s a testimony in itself). All of this started when I sought after God’s heart. When I tuned my heartbeat in with His, and when I put everything else aside, and put His Kingdom first. I encourage any of you out there that have not operated in prayer like this to start including it in your prayer time, watch those walls break down, and watch the move of God! God bless!

There is a shift…

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness.I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19 (NLT)

There is a shift coming in the body people of God, it has already begun. Some of you that attend LWCC have seen the clip for the upcoming conference when it talks about a shift. The Lord gave me and Daryle that the night before the first promo rolled, and when we came into church that next morning God confirmed His Word! There is a huge shift coming in the body God is doing a separation among the flock. My girlfriend and I were talking about this the other day and she gave me this scripture…

“And as for you, my flock, this is what the Sovereign Lord says to his people: I will judge between one animal of the flock and another, separating the sheep from the goats.” Ezekiel 34:17 (NLT)

God is searching for all of those in His flock whose hearts are right, and who are willing to follow Him. It’s what Jesus did when He walked on the earth; He searched for all of those that would be willing to follow Him. Here are some examples in the Word…

“One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the ..Sea of Galilee.. , he saw two brothers-Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew-throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” And they left their nets at once and followed him.” Matthew 4:18-20 (NLT)

“As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at his tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Matthew got up and followed him.” Matthew 9:9 (NLT)

You see from those examples that Jesus came calling, and He required for them to leave everything, and follow Him. That is what He is calling us to do. When He says do something and follow Him we are to do that. That thing that He is asking you to leave is different for each one of you, it could be a person, a situation, a habit, etc. Whatever it is we have to leave it behind, we do not want to be like the rich young ruler, or the man that wanted to bury his father before He would follow Jesus….

“And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.” Matthew 8:21-22 (KJV)

“Jesus told him, “If you want to be perfect, go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” But when the young man heard this, he went away sad, for he had many possessions.” Matthew 19:21-22 (NLT)

To be a true follower of Jesus He says the following about us...

“Then Jesus said to his disciples: If any of you want to be my followers, you must forget about yourself. You must take up your cross and follow me.” Matthew 16:24 (CEV)

“Whoever is not willing to carry his cross and follow me cannot be my follower.” Luke 14:27 (NCV)

I’m not sure how many of you out there are feeling the shift, the change happening. I believe right now it is at the beginning stages, we are each being called to put down those things which have kept us tied to the world system, and to completely rely on God. Some of you are getting separated from people, things, and situations/circumstances, which without even realizing it, you had made them idols in your life. God is separating those with a willing heart. You don’t have to be the most charismatic, have the most education, have the most money, or have the best background. Look at the people that Jesus chose to be His disciples, they were not a “holy” group, but what set them apart from the rest, is that they had willing hearts. They were willing to leave those things that tied them to the world system, and follow Jesus. As long as you are willing to say “yes” to whatever God is asking you to do, then He will be able to use you during this new season that is approaching the body. The season of the harvest, the season of many souls coming into the Kingdom as in the book of Acts, the season of the blessing of Abraham flowing on all who where willing to say “yes” as water flows down a river. The time is approaching children of God, but you have to be willing to allow God in this time of preparation and separation to take those things which you no longer need. You have to allow yourself to stand on the edge of the cliff and when He says walk forward, you will walk. You have to allow yourself to get out there so deep and so far into the middle of the ocean, that only God could save you. You have to be able to eat meat; it’s time to place the bottles aside. It’s time to grow up. Just think of where you all have come from thus far. You’ve been through battles and challenges, you’ve faced sickness, and dealt with addictions, you’ve been abused, molested, and broken hearted, you have faced all types of things, and you have made it! You can make it through this, and on the other side, is something above what you could ever ask, think, or imagine. So I’m calling you to step out on complete faith people of God. Trust in your Father; let Him do what He needs to do in you right now, so that you can go forward moving with the shift that is coming, and not against it. God bless!

A Leap of Faith

About 3 weeks ago I prayed the following…

Lord take me completely off of this world system because I desire to live completely in the Kingdom.

Lord I desire to live completely out of my spirit and come completely off of my flesh.

Lord I desire to live completely by faith and not by sight.

When I prayed those things I meant them whole heartedly I was so tired of relying on things of this world and reacting out of my flesh rather then my spirit. I desired to have the faith of Abraham, so I asked, not even thinking about how God would make those things happen, only knowing that I desired them. Well last Friday, God gave me exactly what I asked for, in a way that I did not expect…

Daryle (my hubby) and I were on the way to dinner, and we were driving a long and He started shaking His head and mumbling some stuff. I asked him what was wrong and he just shook his head and continued to mumble. I said, “Honey what is going on!” He turned slowly and looked at me, and I knew there was something that he was supposed to tell me that he didn’t want to. I told him to just spit it out. He said, “I can’t it’s so far out there. I don’t want to say it.” I continued to pursue him because I knew it was important, but at the same time there was a knot forming in my stomach, I knew it whatever it was, it was going to hit me hard. For a few more minutes he didn’t say anything, then he said, “There was something I was supposed to tell you two weeks ago, but I’ve been fighting it.” I said, “Ok, go ahead and tell me.” He said, “The Lord told me to tell you to quit your job.” As soon as he said it rang true in my spirit, but my flesh rose up and started freaking out.

At this point some of you might think, what! You didn’t hear it straight from God, it came from someone else’s mouth, man I wouldn’t listen to that! But in this situation, God had to use someone else to get me the message, I had been feeling it for a while, but every time something like that would pop in my mind I would dismiss it because I would start to think about provision, and how I couldn’t make it without a job, and all of this anxiety and worry would come upon me. So it did have to come from someone else plain as day, because I was blocking God’s attempts to get me the message. I couldn’t deny it when it came straight out of his mouth, and the Holy Spirit confirmed it in me at the same time. There was no way around it…

So at this point I start throwing a little fit, I was scared, and angry, and didn’t understand, but the Lord used him to really minister to me to help me understand. Then on the way back home, Daryle said, “Calm down Tracy, be quiet and listen, the Lord desires to speak to you right now.” So I settled down, closed my eyes, and started to listen. God started speaking to me about those prayers that I had asked. He told me that He was giving me everything that I desired. He said that to go to the level He desired to take me so that I could do the things He created me to do, I had to come off of relying on the world. He showed me how money and being provision minded had bound me and kept me tied down. He told me how much he loved me and gave me the scripture Psalm 37:25…yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. He showed me how I could rest and be free because I didn’t have to worry about anything anymore. He would take all of that on Himself. He would take care of all my needs.

After the Lord ministered to me I felt so much better, and I felt freer, it was a great feeling. The next day I went into my job, worked the day preparing everything for my team, and then I told our store manager that the Lord had told me it was time to leave. He was so supportive and so awesome. It was so hard for me to leave because I love all the people there and the Lord had me really ministering to a lot of people, but I had to obey God. A lot of people there are mad at me right now, and some are confused, but the great thing about it all, is they all have the name of God on their tongues and they are starting to wonder about Him. That is what really matters to me, that people are touched, and drawn to God through my testimony. That those who are already believers, that their faith be taken to a new level because of my testimony. God has so many awesome things in store for all of us, and I just want each of you out there to be encouraged, listen to God! He is your provider, He is our source, He is everything, and even if you don’t understand the whys or the how’s just obey because He can’t and He won’t lead you the wrong way. I will continue to keep you all updated on what God is doing in my life, so you can see the goodness of the Lord through my story. God bless you!
