Heal the land…

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

There is so much going on in this world today, the atrocities that are happening in our own communities, cities, states, and nations are unspeakable. The scripture above shows that we have the power to help turn things around. We have the power to stop those things which are creating sickness in our land. God says if we will just humble ourselves and pray (intercede) and seek God’s face (not His hand) and turn away from doing those things which we should not be doing, then He WILL hear us and forgive us and heal our land. So many times we spend time praying for ourselves and our families, but what about the land? Do you make it a point to pray for your community, your city, your state, your nation? The schools? The youth? The government? It’s time people of God to turn from our wicked ways, our selfish desires, our own wants and needs, and to focus on the bigger picture. It is time people of God to stop complaining about what is going on in society and do something about it. We have an advocate in our Father. We have a God that desires to heal the land. He is not pleased with what is happening, but we have to decide if that’s what we want. Do we want to keep living in the society that we are living in? Do we like seeing drugs and murders happening in our cities? Do we want to see continue to see 12 year olds having babies? Do we want to continue to hear about abuse? We do not have to watch those things happen anymore! God has given us a solution in the Word. But we have to rise up and decide that we are going to intercede, and that doesn’t mean on prayer one time, that is continual intercession until you see the manifestation of what you’ve been praying for. Just think if all of us as Christians made this a priority, if we just put our selves aside and thought about something else for a little while, we could see this world change. So I challenge any of you out there that are tired of seeing things going the way they are, start praying, start interceding, get a prayer partner and start interceding, get your husband or your wife and start interceding, get the whole family, create prayer groups at work, in your communities, etc. In the bible it says 2 will put 10,000 to flight (Deuteronomy 32:30). Lets put those evil spirits that our trying to corrupt our world on the run! It’s time people of God it’s time! God bless!
