God Supplies

“And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 AMP

“Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do super-abundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams].” Ephesians 3:20 AMP

As many of you know I quit my job about a month ago from direction from the Holy Spirit. It has been a battle for me going through the transition from the world’s system of provision to the Kingdom’s system of provision. Money has been coming in since I quit, but I had not looked at the big picture, it was like every time it came in I wiped my brown and was like whoooow, thank God I can pay this now. Through it all I’ve been a little frustrated and have been like “Father can’t you just give us thousands of dollars so we don’t have to do this week by week?” Then last Sunday we were in church and the pastor started talking about the children of Israel and how God had provided manna daily for them. At this point I stopped hearing the Pastor and I started hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit, He told me that He was providing for me as He did with the children of Israel in the wilderness. He said “Tracy I have taken you out of Egypt (the world’s system: my job) and I am taking you into Canaan, but I need you to go through this wilderness process, do not by like the children of Israel that complained and wanted to go back to Egypt, do not delay your entrance into Canaan. Just as I provided for them daily bread, I am providing the same for you. As money comes in don’t hoard it and try to save it all, pay what needs to be payed, and do what you need to do with it. Trust that when it is gone, I will bring you more as I did with the children of Israel.” At this point I was like wow, ok Lord, and then the Pastor said “God doesn’t always give you a lot of money right where you are because you might blow it all, you have to be faithful over what you have and then He will be able to trust you with more.” And that hit me, I have to be faithful in the wilderness and trust God in that place, so that I can receive everything in Canaan, and so that I can enter into the land.

After the service I still battled with the financial piece, but as I was sitting here today looking at our finances and doing the budget for the month of April, God had me look at the amount of money that has come in since I had left my job. Do you know that for the month I have been off of work, I have received my normal monthly salary + $1,000. When I saw that it blew me away. Not only did God provide for me during this time, but He gave me above what I was making in a month at my job. Glory to God! That really helped me change my perspective on this whole thing. The two scriptures I wrote above are in operation in my life. I’m saying all of this not to tell anyone to quit your jobs (please don’t, unless God specifically tells you!), I just wanted to give you all this testimony to help build your faith. For all of you that might struggle in this area as I have, know that God will never let you down, all He is requiring is your faith, and your complete obedience! God bless!!
