I believe in this time God is calling His people back into direct relationship with Him, we are to walk with Him as Adam did in the garden. For many people it’s hard to grasp that concept that we are walking and in relationship with God all day long. Some people say they are too busy to talk to God, some think of God as this far away God that we can only talk to while we are in church. I’m here to tell you that God is with you at all times. He is sitting with you, He is walking with you, He is there when you are at work, or at home, when you are exercising, or in school, at all times He is there, and at all times you can talk to Him.We have to stop being so religious and begin to recognize God for who He is. You can talk to God at all times just like you would talk to your friend; He wants to be included in everything, not just your problems. Talking to God is not some religious ritual, it is not some religious prayer, it is being who you are; talking just like you would to your best friend. Be open, be real, and share everything with Him. As you begin to walk with God like this you will begin to hear Him clearer, and you will begin to open your heart to Him in a way like never before. You will begin to really fall in love with Him.
Let me give you an example; if you were dating and you met this new person and you all start hanging out, don’t you always want to talk to that person, don’t you want to get to know them personally, don’t you always want to hang out with them, don’t you want to hear what is on their heart, don’t you enjoy doing for them? This is how we are to be with God, we’ve gotten great about knowing His Word and going to church, etc. but we haven’t gotten to know God personally.
We will sit around hoping we get a word from a prophet or our pastor. We look to others to tell us what God has to say to us, and what He has for us, but what about receiving it for ourselves. We don’t have to go to anyone else; He desires to walk with us like He did with Adam in the garden. And in the garden God spoke to Adam about everything, Adam didn’t have to run to anyone else to get a word from God, it was just Him and God. When Jesus died on the cross for us, didn’t He restore that relationship between us and God…?
Colossians 1:20-22 (NLT)
and by him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of his blood on the cross. This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions, yet now he has brought you back as his friends. He has done this through his death on the cross in his own human body. As a result, he has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.
Before He left the earth didn’t He say that He wanted us to be one with God…?
John 17:21 (NLT)
My prayer for all of them is that they will be one, just as you and I are one, Father--that just as you are in me and I am in you, so they will be in us, and the world will believe you sent me.
It’s time people of God to walk in that which was provided for us. It’s time people of God to walk as Adam did. It’s time people of God for us to begin to hear God for ourselves. So open yourself up, don’t be afraid of God, He desires to hear your heart, your thoughts, and He desires to share His heart and His thoughts with you.
God bless!
