The just shall live by faith...

“…The just shall live by faith.”
~Romans 1:17 & Habakkuk 2:4

The just: Righteous (those who are in right standing with God), believers, the servants of God.

To Live: To continue in constantly (continually; perseveringly.) or habitually (by frequent practice or use).

A lot of people know this scripture and I’ve heard Pastors quote it and the congregations chime in and shout with enthusiasm, and that is great, but the question is are we walking it out? When someone gives you a bad report, do you put your head down and sulk about it, or do you say what the Word says and believe God by faith? Hmmmm…that’s something to think about isn’t it?

This scripture is telling us that as believers we should be living constantly, perseveringly, and habitually by faith. Which makes perfect sense because how did we all become Christians? By faith, right? We confessed Jesus with our mouths and believed in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead and we were saved. Well if that was our first act in coming into the Kingdom, then doesn’t it make sense that everything else is received by faith also, just as our salvation was? After all we don’t question our salvation do we? So why do we question our healing, our financial status, or anything else God says we have in His Word? This was not a one time event in which our faith brought us something that we needed (Jesus), this is a lifestyle. It is an everyday thing. It is believing by faith what God has said in His word, and that He will do what He said He would. So I challenge each and every one of you out there today, to start living a lifestyle of faith. I dare you to believe God for everything! And don’t give up if something doesn’t go your way right away, just make up your mind that no matter what you are going to believe God. God bless!

  1. This is such a blessing and confirmation of Gods word! "God will always do what He say He will do" was one of the verses & themes from Vacation bible School last week! Amazing confirmation! "Soli Deo gloria"
