It’s Time to Act

Yesterday we talked about being still and listening to God. Today I want to talk about acting on what we hear…

We can get to the point where we have disciplined ourselves to sit and to hear God, but after we hear it is our turn to act on what we have heard. We are moving in to a great time of tremendous revelation. God showed me that when His people start to quiet themselves and listen, He is going to start to speak in a powerful way. He is going to give us clear direction on what He wants us to do, to say, to write, invent, etc. He is going to tell us what is coming (John 16:13). We will be able to go into business meetings and give the boss exactly what he/she wants because God will already have given us a perfect strategy. You will be able to do things that you’ve never been trained to do because the Spirit of God will teach you exactly how to do it. We are in an amazing time, hear me when I say that, if we as the body can do what God is asking us to do, then the world will see our works and they will glorify God in heaven.

James 1:22 (KJV)~“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only…”

Deuteronomy 6:3 (NIV)~“Hear, O Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, promised you.”

Deuteronomy 12:28 (KJV)~“Observe and obey all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the sight of the LORD your God.”

As you can see from these passages of scripture it is extremely important that we not only listen, but we act on what God has told us, no matter what He says, and we will be extremely blessed, not only us, but our children. Just as we have trusted our earthly parents/guardians because we know they wouldn’t lead us astray, in the same way we have to trust our Heavenly Father, and although we may not know why He is asking us to do certain things, or we can’t quite connect the dots to where it may lead, regardless we have to walk in trust and obedience to our Creator. Remember a few days ago Daryle was talking about 1 Corinthians 1:27 (KJV)...

“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;”

Some things may seem foolish, but don’t try to figure it out, just trust Him and know that God knows what He is doing. God bless!
