Take time to soak in God

So many times when we spend our time with God we are praying and talking to God, or singing Him a song of praise and adoration, and those are all things that we should do, but we also need to take time to stop and listen to what He has to say. Sometimes we just talk too much. For example, what if you needed an answer to a question you had for someone, but you just kept talking and talking and talking, but never gave that person a chance to respond to you. It would be really hard for you to get the answer that you need wouldn’t it. God desires to give us the answers we are searching for; God desires to reveal the plans and purposed He has for us. God desires to spend time talking to us, and ministering to us, just as we do with others, but we must take time to STOP, and LISTEN. In Psalm 46:10 it says, “Be still and know that I am God.” He desires to be God in your life. He knows your beginning and He knows your end. He says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” He wants to reveal those plans to you but you have to listen. I am encouraging each of you to spend quiet time with God. To take time out of your busy schedules and put on some worship music, and sit without speaking before the Lord, show Him that you are there and you would like to spend time with Him and hear what He has to say. At first it might be hard for you to do, but I encourage you to keep doing it, even if you aren’t “feeling” anything, or “hearing” anything from God, just know that He is there with you, enveloping you with everything that He is, and in time you will be able to tune in to what He is saying to you. God bless!
