“Behold, the Lord’s eye is upon those who fear Him [who revere and worship Him with awe], who wait for Him and hope in His mercy and loving-kindness, To deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.” ~Psalm 33:18-19 (AMP)
Right now with our economy on a downward spiral, a lot of us have looked at the gas prices, the rise in food prices, the jobs that are being irradiated, etc., and some of us have started to fear what was going to happen with jobs, or how you are going to afford food for your family, or even how you are going to get from place to place because the gas prices are so high. Right now what we see surrounding our nation is lack and deficiency. But we have to remember as it says in the Word, “We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18).
I’m here to encourage you all that God has given you a promise! He said for those who fear him, which means to revere and worship Him with awe, and who wait for Him, and Hope in Him, it is those that will be delivered from death and will be kept alive in famine, which is defined in Webster’s 1828 as…A general want of provisions sufficient for the inhabitants of a country or besieged place.
God’s people know that as long as you trust in the Word of God, and know about your covenant rights, no matter what happens in the world around you, God has promised that He will deliver you and keep you alive in these scarce times. So worry not about what you see and only focus on the Word and the promises of God. God bless!!
