Get you off of your mind, and get your mind onto God pt 2…

A few days ago we were discussing getting us off of our minds, and get our minds on to God in prayer. Today I would like to look at this aspect from the stand point of decision making.

In our everyday lives we make many decisions… what to wear, where to go, what to do, etc. Many times in life we only include God in the big decisions that come, or in decision concerning ministry or religious affairs, but God desires to be included in every one of our decisions. In Matthew 10:30, it says “And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” That shows you right there that God is interested in every detail of who you are, so why aren’t Christians including Him in every detail of their lives? He was concerned about numbering the hairs on your head; doesn’t that mean He’s concerned about where you are going today or what you are doing today? I know some might think it is not important to ask God about everything, but it is of the utmost importance. God loves you that much and He desires you to make the right decisions in everything. He knows all; He knows what’s going to happen before it happens. Wouldn’t you want someone that knows everything to help you make your everyday decisions, that definitely takes a lot of the pressure off of you. In Isaiah 55:8-9 it says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” God’s thoughts and ways are not ours, so let’s get off of ourselves and our ways of doing and thinking, and let’s plug into God’s way of doing and thinking. Starting today I encourage each and everyone reading this to start to include God in all of your decisions, not some, all! And if you miss it and forget, don’t be hard on yourself just do it the next time. This will be a process for many people that are not used to doing this, but in time it will become natural, and I’m telling you that when you allow God to make the decisions your life will flow so much smoother and you will get to where you are going much quicker. God bless!
